Letters in Wild Places grows through the kindness of people like you - writers who want to share encouragement, hope, and connection with strangers who need it.
There are no rules about what to write. Your letters might offer comfort during hard times, celebrate small joys, share poetry, or simply remind someone they're not alone. What matters is the intention behind them: to create a moment of unexpected connection for whoever needs it most.
You can leave letters in your own area - tucked into library books, left on park benches, hidden in cafes - expanding the project to new places around the world. Or you can write letters and send them to us, and we'll leave them in locations across the UK.
Whether you're an experienced writer or someone who just wants to try, whether you leave one letter or a hundred, your contribution matters.
We offer starter packs to help you begin. Choose the option that works best for you - from essentials only if you have your own supplies, to full packs with everything you need, to free packs if finances are a barrier. Every pack comes with branded materials so your letters are recognisable as part of the project.
